Year 11 public examinations (GCSE’s) will commence Monday 11th May until Monday 15th June 2026.  Art Externally Set Tasks will take place from Monday 20th April to Thursday 30th April 2026. All eligible pupils will be issued with individual exam timetables.  Please ensure that you are familiar with this timetable, in order to support positive attendance and engagement throughout the exam season. Pupils will also be provided with a revision guide and additional revision material from subject staff, which should be used to implement a productive and effective revision timetable, in anticipation of each exam.

GCSE Results will be due from 9.00am – Thursday 20th August 2026

Further details with regard to the collection of results will be issued in June 2026.

Examination Contingency Dates:

We have been informed by the JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications), the providers of regulations and examination practices across the UK, that they are planning to hold examination contingency day on Wednesday 24th June 2026.

These dates will be used if a significant, unexpected national event arises, and pupils are unable to take an examination when planned and therefore needs to be rescheduled.

All examination pupils must be available to sit examinations from the start of the Summer 2026 series in May 2026 up to and including Wednesday 24th June 2026, regardless of the dates on their individual timetables.
